Exterior Cleaning: Soft Wash vs. Pressure Wash
High pressure can damage soft surfaces, force water behind siding, and strip paint or stain. We use the right method for every surface — because doing it wrong costs you more in the long run.
Soft washing uses low pressure and a biodegradable cleaning solution — typically sodium hypochlorite and surfactant — to kill mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria at the source rather than just blasting it off the surface.
Because we're treating the organic growth rather than just removing the visible stain, the results last longer. Pressure washing alone leaves spores behind. Soft washing kills them.
Vinyl siding, painted wood, stucco, roofing shingles, and older brick can all be damaged by high pressure. Water forced behind siding can cause moisture problems, rot, and mold inside your walls — damage you won't see until it's expensive.
